I had my first experience of photographing live performers up close without being at a music venue with a constantly changing light show.

Naturally I thought I’d be in for a treat in terms of lighting conditions.

I couldn’t have been more wrong!

With a single spotlight lighting up the talent and shrouding everything else in darkness I really thought I wasn’t going to get any decent shots with the difficulty I had metering and focusing, yet these set of photo’s contain some of my favourite images taken to date.

It seems like only a few weeks ago I’d sat down and started to upload my featured portfolio on here while not much else was going on.

It’s surprising just how much stuff can interrupt you when your planning on some free time to work on personal projects.

As I’ve still got work from 2012 to date to upload here and current projects aimed to launch in 2014 I’ve decided to just get everything I can manage up while I’m taking some time out for my birthday and Xmas.

I’m going to try and post at least once a day on here till 2014 to get this site up to date and to make daily updates part of my work routine by sheer force of habit.

Thanks to the dentist I spent the last week or so on painkillers and soup.

Still beardy but feeling better I grabbed Stu to shoot something to test time remapping on and threw a tune by Keith Thompson of The Swinging Bricks into the mix with my own brand of skate fail.
